 In an e-mail sent to ticketholders on April 1st the Oxford, ME-based Nateva Festival announced the cancellation of its 2011 festivities after promoters found themselves “struggling at every turn as we have tried to push forward with preparations for this summer.” The festival, scheduled to go down August 4th-7th, would have seen performances by STS9,  Guster, Gregg Allman, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, and more. The e-mail went on to say, “In the end, it’s all about being able to put forth a first rate event that everyone can be proud of and that our customers can enjoy. We just don’t have the confidence to go forward at this time.”   I spoke to Nateva organizer Frank Chandler last week about the cancellation and last year's festival held over the Fourth of July weekend that featured Moe.
